Your identity is never complete because identity is an ongoing definition of you. When you stop learning new things your identity will be complete, but since you are always learning and always getting smarter your identity will never be complete. Your identity is based on the people around you, the environment, the people you are with everyday and, and all of the experiences you have been through. An author will not be able to reveal the full identity of a character because as the story goes on the character will meet new people, change the setting they were last in, and they will come across new things that will change them as a person. Dicey a thirteen year old girl changed her identity throughout the book, Homecoming. Similarly to Sammy a six year old boy from the book, Homecoming. Dicey, James, Maybeth, and Sammy are all Tillerman siblings together.
