Identity Theft has played an enormous role in Florida’s economic status. Identity theft is when a person’s private identifying information is obtained by an imposter. Imposters often take misuse an individual’s personal information such as social security, driver’s license numbers for economic gain. According to the Stop Identity Theft act of 2015 and s.775.05 article, Their goal is protect vulnerable group of people such as elders, veterans and minors from becoming victims or otherwise used in offense. To scrutinize, there are a few ways in which you can prevent and protect. Some of these ways may include how to credit report, protect credit and what to do if it was stolen.

There are several groups of individuals who are impacted by the policy idea and law. Currently, Business now has to spend additional money to protect and provide a safer alternative, when information is given. To examine, the credit card machine at the bank or checkout lines may have a device implanted called skimmers. These devices are used to collect customer’s valuable information which business must protect.Also, The law enforcers continue to evolve with new tactics that the thieves are displayed and now terrorist’s .High power such as the president must protect him or herself from terrorist hacking into their account and raiding their identity. I support the laws specially for indentity theft and the efforts of the state. According to Sun sentinel, Florida leads in nation in fraud. Florida remains the hotspot for fraud and identity theft in 2014.Which topped the list for identity theft complains for the fifth year in a row.
