Hey you! Have you ever read The Lightning Thief novel? In the novel we see the theme identity portrayed through Percy’s quest to find the lighting bolt and figure out who his father is. In the book Grover is a middle school kid and Annabeth is a troop and at camp halfblood. In The Lighting Thief, both Grover and Annabeth experience changes in identity.
To start off,Grover is a half goat half person. He is the protector of Percy Jackson as well as a friend. He acted like a middle school kid but in reality he was a 28 year old satyr. She is the daughter of Athena, who is goddess of wisdom and war. In the beginning of the book Annabeth is cocky. She thinks she is better off alone. Annabeth is aggressive towards everybody. What do you except, she is the daughter of Athena. Annabeth and Grover are really different but one thing they sure do have in common is that they both were alone in the beginning. They might have talked to other people but not as much after the quest. Annabeth changed a lot when she went on the quest with Percy and Grover. While she was on the quest Annabeth found out about herself. Annabeth becomes stronger and a little bit more nicer after the quest with Percy and Grover. In the end Annabeth finally likes Percy as a friend. She becomes really close friends with Percy as well as Grover. To wrap it up,Annabeth is not as shy as she was at first and she stayed loyal to Percy, Grover did to.
As a final point, Grover and Annabeth have a lots of defences and some similarities. They had become good friends with percy jackson. They helped percy to save his mom so he can see her again. They were heroes like batman and superman. Although in the beginning they didn't get along at first they still went on the quest to help percy which brought them closer. If they never have knew each other and percy didn't go to half blood camp i wouldn't be here today telling you this story of their similarities and differences.
