School is said to be 'a second home' to many students. It is said because we are there most of the time and that's where we meet a lot of new people and how we interact and also how we view ourselves. School is a big factor towards how we identify ourselves because at school, you worry about how people view you and what they think about you. For me, I never cared about anything people said or thought about me. People weren't always nice, but I never let it get to me and I can thank my brother for that because of him helping me become strong minded. School had a big impact on me though. I found who my real friends are, I realized who was and was not there for me, and I found out which teachers really cared about other students, including myself. I will never forget about one teacher that I met my senior year. She helped me a lot. I lost myself during part of my high school years and I always ran to that teacher for help and advice. I will never forget what she told me because she reminded me of my brother and the phrase that he told me. My brother told me, 'trust in the process." The teacher told me, "to new beginnings." What 'to new beginnings' means that no matter what happens, there's always a new beginning, but it's up to you to create that new beginning and start over. That saying is now what I live by and I can say that it has helped shape my
