1.) Identify any healing strategies you used...

- I don't get sick often, but every time I jinx myself by saying "I have not become sick in a long time" afterwards, my throat started hurting, then runny nose and coughing follows. Every time I get sick, it last for about a week or two, which is horrible. When I sleep, I use a humidifier to help me breathe and also rub a tiny amount of Vicks in my nose to also help me breathe. I always use a cold remedy drink to cure a sore throat. Hot green tea with honey, lemon, and ginger always does the trick.

2.) What led you to try those particular strategies?

- My mom always told me when I'm sick, I should drink honey lemon drink. Even though that also help my throat from hurting less, but I always like trying out a new recipe so I can see which one works better.

3.) Why do you think they help?

- When my friend gets sick, she believes that drinking cold drink will help cure her sore throat. I never understood how drinking cold drinks will help with anything because I feel that it will only make it worst. I have tried drinking cold orange juice when I was sick once and it made my throat hurts even more, so I guess it depends on some people.

5.) How does your family background or your culture or ethnic background impact how you manage sickness now that you are an adult?

- I hear a lot of different healing techniques from many of my friends when they are sick and it is different from how my family's home-made remedy. In our culture, we always like to use herbs or plant-based ingredients to help cure sickness by blending it with tea, but many of my friends make porridge, using Epsom salt bath, and some that I find it hilarious is by drizzling honey onto the lemon slices and sucking it the
