Canute was in reign from 1016 to 1035 and was the King of Denmark from 119 o 1035 and of Norway from 1028 to 1035 and got to his power by being the grandson of Polish ruler mieszko from his mothers side.He was known for capturing large parts of England and taking Denmark, Norway, and parts of Scotland while building a brief but powerful empire.
