Great design for a research study to look in to your PICO question. I think for yours research study the time frame you selected is very minimum. You should increase the time frame so you can get a larger number of samples which help you come to a better conclusion. Also, are you going to focus on patient in ICU only with central line or other units as well? I think it would be good to consider other variables such as, where was the central line placed? In the ED, OR, or the ICU? Where is the patient ED, ICU, stepdown unit? All the variables will help increase the effectiveness of your research study.
