If the blood pressure maintains to be high it could lead to rebleeding and hematoma expansion (Urden el at., 2014). The goals for this patient was to keep the blood pressure bellow 160. If the patient blood pressure was above 160 the physician ordered hydralazine 10mg= 0.5 ml to be administer. Hydralazine is a vasodilator and decreases the blood pressure (Urden el at., 2014). Furthermore, the nurse could provide a restful surrounding and minimize environmental stimuli which helps lessen the sympathetic stimulation and promotes relaxation (Urden el at., 2014).
