This move is about a 17 year old physics genius who works on her physics project for the summer so that she can go to harvard university . she decides to study the physics that was applied in competitive skating . so she would go by the rink and record the katers and the calculate the velocity and etc . As she studies she finds it would be easier if she tried doing the skating herself to find the answer.as she found the answers to how they went so fast and how high the went she was able to help the make there turns and there jumps even better they won't fall or anything while there on the ice .
The physics concept she is focused on is find the maximum height that the skater jumps in the air and the and angle of the jumps and there initial velocity and how much gravity .

as the movie moves on it talks about momentum . Caseys end up bringing up newton's third law “ for every action there is always an equal and opposite reactionin the movie casey about the known third which is newton's third law . as she talks about being able to turn and do all the leaps that she never thought that she would be able to until she did that's when newton's third law come into place . As she pushes off the ice a force is made at the ground which sends the skater up unto the air. i looked up what there costumes that were allow the to move gracefully into the air which has been known to improve their performance ( aerodynamic outfits resist air resistance ) . the law of inertia is equal force between the ice and the skater the equal force is whe casey pushes up of the ground . as ice
