William Shakespeare's character Iago can be described as the perfect villain plotter in the world. Backstabbing,manipulating, and double facing are techniques that help Iago plan his murders. He is most likely the evilest villain because his motives for killing don’t reach a particular goal. You see throughout the play the audience is not sure why Iago wants to crush Othello and his love ones. At first Iago wants to destroy Othello because Othello gave the promotion to Cassio.Iago wanted Cassio’s position and blames both of them. Later in the play, Iago wants to destroy Othello because he thinks Othello is having an affair with his wife. The audience truly doesn’t know what is his motive to kill which makes Iago likable.
