Money is a big problem as well. Most families cannot afford to pay thousands of dollars for a procedure that may and may not work for them. That is another reason I believe IVF is a waste of time. Having to pay so much money and still not have your bundle of joy would be very stressful and aggravating. According to PBS news, certain states can get insurance to cover IVF. States such as Ohio, New Jersey, Montana, Maryland, Rhode Island, etc. are able to get insurance to help pay the cost for the procedure. If there are women living in these states, maybe I would recommend having the procedure done, but the women who cannot get help I would not recommend it. For most mothers, being able to have a child of their own is the ideal way. That may be true. I would want to be able to have children of my own as well. Why put yourself at risk just to give birth though? Adopting is something most people do not want to do, but look at how much easier it would be. When you adopt you are raising someone else’s child, but look at how much of a difference you will make in that child’s life. Children who need adopted parents may have been through things in their lives that less fortunate parents can help with. Women that are able to conceive are sometimes unappreciative and they choose not to do what’s best for the children, which places them in the system. Mothers that can conceive sometimes neglect their children. Children are being abused and neglected all the time by unappreciative parents. Hopefully parents that are having trouble or cannot have children will be fit for that child. Adoption may not be the ideal way of having a baby, but it will finally make you a parent. For the ones that may think adopting is like raising someone else’s child and not like having your own is true. It’s a positive thing and it’s better than spending thousands of dollars for the procedure that may or may not work. Yes, you would wonder what a child of your own would look like and act like; but raising an adopted child will be worth it. There are benefits that come with adopting a child.
