Unit 3 Discussion In mathematics, squaring a number is basically multiplying it by itself. It is simply impossible for two different numbers, when squared, to give the same results, because all positive real numbers have two square roots; a positive and a negative. For instance, in the following problem,(x^2=4) although it may seem as (x = 2) is the only solution, that is not true. If you solve using the Square Root Property, you can conclude that there are two solutions; (x = 2 or x = -2).…

When I started to film my advert, the location where I was filming was only open for 2 hours which didn’t give me a lot of time, so I made the decision to film everything inside the building because I could do all of the shots that were outside the following day, doing this gave me more time to spend on the shots inside. The one problem I ran into whilst shooting was that the camera wasn’t charged so I had to spend 20 minutes charging the camera, instead of doing nothing for that time I decided to go over with the actors what scenes we’d be doing and went through the shots we’d be doing. Next time before I film, I will check the camera to see if it has any charge. When it came to filming, everything went really smoothly, because of the practice…

The unit of analysis is Twitter users (individuals); I came to that conclusion because of the following quotes; “I measure the effect SB 1070 had on both public attitudes and behaviors toward immigrants. By relying on social media data published by U.S. residents, I am able to follow the same individuals over time to examine their changing reactions to immigrants before and after the law was passed.” (Flores, Rene. p. 334) Then, “If individual users did not change their attitude toward immigrants, how can we explain our earlier findings?”…

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was created by Congress under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 to ensure workers were provided with safe and healthy working conditions. Congress found that personal injuries and illnesses were more frequent in work related situations, which caused a loss in production, a decrease in wages, elevated medical expenses, and substantial disability compensation payments. In order to prevent personal injuries or illnesses in the work place, standards were established under the Act, which were taught to employers and employees through trainings and outreach. These standards provided workplace health and safety regulations to limit/prevent an employee’s exposure to possible hazardous situations/environments. In particular, Part 1910 covers Occupational Safety and Health Standards, which can range from hand protection to requirements for fixed ladders.…
