I lend them two of my own laptops. The problems we had to face were that some Apple computers were having some glitches with Jing and PowerPoint compatibility. Next time I implement this lesson plan I would reserve a computer lab, ask the technology to add Jing to the computers and have everything ready so the product will be created smoothly. e Data Inventory artifact, developed in ITEC 7305 Data Analysis and School Improvement, demonstrates my mastery of standard 2.7. Many of these assessments are now conducted utilizing online programs like EOCTs, and the 9th Lit Reading benchmark. Utilizing online testing software to deliver assessments saves time, results are more accurate, and instructors can easily access data to obtain important information about their students to guide instructional decisions. Also, school portals help to keep data confidential and only available to faculty for its use in PLC planning, curriculum and standard development, professional development and personal reflection.
The Data Inventory taught me to monitor my students’ progress to improve my curriculum, also I concluded that by looking at data as a department is more efficient than working alone because more ideas, opinions, predictions and conclusions can help to find the root of the problem. Finally, something I would do differently would be to keep up with data sources, most of the time used to develop this assignment was spent in finding where the data was, interviewing administrators and counselors, who did not know where most of the testing results were
