1. The visual analogy caused some anxiety due to this concept was quite new. However, the anxiety was reduce by having clear instructions to complete the assigned task. Our classroom assignment included a video to help you with the assignment. This was very helpful and accommodated all learning styles. The link provided oral and written directions on how to complete the assignment. It was very helpful in creating this visual to enhance my critical thinking skills about literacy. I could carry out this exercise in the classroom by integrating technology to promote positive behavior intervention strategies. I could provide students with a link and use it for literacy and discipline in the ISS setting. Most of the students want to discuss why they are in the ISS classroom. I could give them this assignment to eliminate distractions and promote literacy and PBIS strategies.

Digital literacy and 21st Century literacy continues to be discussed countywide. The digital literacy important because it allows educators to share and evaluate information as it pertain to the curriculum. I would define digital literacy as shared information to all stakeholders in education. Networking is vital in today’s society. Many resources can be found in digital literacy to provide support in primary or secondary lessons. This could be addressed through having access to a variety of technology devices; smart phones, tablets, I pads, laptops, desk tops and other assistive technology devices. This will promote students to learn through active participation. It is prudent to be able to meet the needs of all students. Our non-verbal students are often over looked due to not having adequate knowledge about different devices to promote literacy in the classroom. I like to incorporate music in lessons to empower students, consequently this concept wouldn’t be acceptable in the ISS
