I attended numerous ISPT meetings throughout Fayette, Greene, and Alleghany counties. ISPT stand for Interagency Service Planning Team. These meetings were always an hour long and occur every 120 days. The people that attend these meetings include a member of the insurance company, the Treatment Coordinator, the Treatment parent(s), the biological or adoptive parent(s), the child, anyone else who is involved in the treatment of the child and sometimes the supervisor of the Treatment Coordinator. During these meetings, the Treatment Coordinator would talk about the child’s Plan of Care, whether or not the child has been doing well in the treatment home and at school, and the parents would discuss any of their concerns. Sometimes the insurance …show more content…
She would be the sweetest girl until she was mad about something. Before coming into the program, she beat up her step mother and knocked her unconscious. She would get really angry with the one little boy who also lived in the same Treatment home. She would smack him and pinch him until he cried. During her psychological evaluation, the psychologist asked her why she was so angry and mean towards people. Her answer was that it was everyone else’s fault, not hers. She was a very interesting child to sit in on for psychological …show more content…
Pressley Ridge has two different audits at the end of the summer. I got to experience one of them. Whenever there was nothing for me to do, my supervisor would show me how to audit a file. I only worked on the files of the children I worked with. My supervisor showed me how to go through the file, make sure everything was there, how to mark down what was not there, and where to find incoming documents for the file. This was a great learning experience for me because I know that one day, I will be experiencing an audit first hand. It taught me that no matter how much stuff you have to do, you have to stay on top of your paperwork or you will get too far

To reflect appropriately upon the journal, this reflection has been structured into the different elements studied and cited within my discussion and reflective journal entries. These elements are an assessment, the biopsychosocial and therapeutic approaches, and work with families. Even though assessment is quoted in a range of literature, the nature of SEBD means that there is no standardised or definitive test. Behaviour rating scales and procedures for observing and evaluating behaviour are used within my setting, but SEBD is a broad set of needs, and, therefore, diagnostic assessments should always be viewed with caution. As Ellis and Todd (2009) identify, there may be little that pupils with SEBD have in common.…

The immense pressure that an auditor faces daily is immense. This is due to their nature of work, which is under constant scrutiny. Not only must they perform well for their accounting firm, but they must also be in compliance with their clients and the government regulations, such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002(SOX). While I do believe that SOX has addressed many key issues , such as requiring the CEO and the CFO to be held liable for all financial disclosures and has increased the ethical requirements of the corporate audit committee. There are still many problems that have not been dealt with.…

As an incoming freshman in August of 2015 taking Rhetoric 105, I not only learned how to take apart papers, summarize, paraphrase, analyze and construct passages, but overall to be a great thinker. There are many ways that a person can tell you that works to become a better thinker, but it starts within you. While writing papers this fall semester, I learned that my writing became better when I a. understood what was being asked of me via the criteria, b. allowed myself to make mistakes in order to understand what I was and wasn 't doing correctly, c. I started to question myself, not in a way of was the work too hard, but in the sense of what the assignment and the thesis I am creating is asking. At this stage, you have to be completely real…

Since acting as a Chief Financial Officer, I have returned to the life of an auditor traveling to a variety of communities throughout the country auditing nonprofits and governments. Even though I have held the job of an auditor previously, it seems different. My clients appreciate how I relate to their daily struggles. Consequently, they appear more willing to share information and discuss their business or life in general. Realizing the importance of human aspects in business through my experiences has aided me in greater ways than a course could teach.…

Planning, performing and reporting are the three major stages of auditing. The first stage in an audit is the planning stage. The planning stage consists of getting to know the client, pinpointing factors that could impact the risk for a material misstatement for the financial records, and creating an audit strategy (Wiley,2015). Marilyn Terrill is the senior auditor for the the Uden Supply Company audit, for this client she will need to perform the analytical procedures and calculate the expected figures for the income statement. These calculations will assist in determining any misstated amounts in the financial statements.…
