ISIS is the biggest threat to the world and to the Christian people because over the past Three months ISIS has killed about 5,300 Christians and Yazidi. ISIS also forced about 1.2 million Iraqis and Syrian citizens out of their homes. ISIS militants are not Muslims; in fact they’re not even humans because no human would commit the crime that ISIS had committed in the past months. On one occasion ISIS militants killed About 500 Yezidis and buried some alive, while killing others in a mass execution. The aim of ISIS is to create an Islamic state across the Sunni areas of Iraq and Syria. ISIS has established governing structures throughout the land that they rule. “ISIS has a cabinet, governors, financial and legislative bodies, just like any real governments ISIS has a bureaucratic hierarchy that is run by a council that enforces the laws of the caliphate” (. IS ISIS really A STATE?). At the top is Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi he is the leader and Caliph of ISIS. ISIS has two deputies of Iraq and Syria, “Abu Muslim al-Turkmani and Abu Ali al-Anbari respectively, oversee their respective territories” (. IS ISIS really A STATE?). Each deputy has 12 governors for each territory and each is in charge of the lower council. ISIS has many councils they have a financial, leadership, military, legal, fighter’s assistance, security, intelligence, and media council. Just like any other governments ISIS has councils; the first council is the financial council they regulate weapons and oil sales and prices making sure that the militants have money to supply their needs and weapons to fight. The leadership council makes laws and the legal council decides on executions and recruitment. The military council is in charge of the defense of the state. Security Council is roughly about size of a police force. ISIS militants believe what they’re doing is right because it’s their duty as Muslims to declare jihad and establish an Islamic state where the Sharia laws is enforced and led by one supreme religious and political leader, called a caliph. “Sharia law is based on certain teachings of the Quran and requires all people under the caliphate’s “jurisdiction” to abide by the law.”(The Rise of ISIS). Those who fail to obey the sharia laws have to face Punishments such as flogging, stoning, hanging, beheading, and crucifixion. ISIS militants feel as if it’s their duty to build an Islamic state because that’s what the Muhammad and Allah would want them to do. On June 29th of 2014 ISIS publicly announces the creation of a caliphate. Caliphate simply means Islamic state.
