What is the biggest problem from ISIS, and how will it be solved? The main problem of ISIS is that they are growing, and they run their land just like a country. They are always trying to expand and gain more land. They aren't a big threat to the U.S yet, but They need to be stopped before they become one. These problems can be solved by stopping lone wolf attacks across the world, training people from other countries to fight ISIS, and they need to keep executing airstrikes on ISIS controlled areas. Lone wolf attacks are a big threat to the U.S. "More than 20 lone wolf terrorist plots since 9/11."(Bekiempis). They are harder to identify and stop than big scale attacks. "The U.S believes that with training, Iraq, Kurdish forces, and moderate Syrian Rebels will be able to take down ISIS."(Von Drehle). The Syrian Rebels have been able to hold onto the town of Kobani, but they aren't gaining any land back. It will involve a lot of training, other countries joining in the fight, and American weapons to remove ISIS without Americans fighting. Airstrikes have been the first step in trying to stop ISIS. "U.S warplanes have dropped more than 8,200 bombs in 2,500 airstrikes dating back to August."(Von Drehle). These airstrikes are important because they always keep them on their toes. Russia has just started dropping airstrikes in Iraq and Syria as well. If they want to take down ISIS, they will have to get fighters on the ground, and keep airstrikes coming. If the U.S and ally countries keep stopping lone wolves, training and fighting ISIS, and execute more airstrikes on ISIS, then ISIS will be defeated. They can be taken down, but it will take training, weapons, and time. We also need to stop the spread of ISIS within the Middle East, and stop people from other countries from joining them. With all of these things combined, ISIS can and will be taken
