ISIS Problems? It is well known that the U.S Government has been debating what to do about the ISIS issue. Should we go to war with them, should we leave well enough alone, should we support other nations to go to war with them, what should we do? It is a very controversy subject. Some think that ISIS are heroes, others see them for the terrorist that they are, and still others refuse to take sides at all. The brutality of the terrorist group is unbelievable, and yet there are young people from all over the world going to join them. What is so appealing? Is it the promise of power? Or just the thrill of being feared? The women from western societies that have gone to join the ISIS group are in for a rude awakening. They will not only be treated inferiorly but will most likely be made slaves of the Muslim men.

So why are so many leaders refusing to acknowledge this? Even our own president refuses to acknowledge this fact. It is understandable that congress does not want to get involved with another war, war is expensive and the Middle Eastern people (with the exception of Israel and Jordan) seem intent on continually fighting among themselves, but we should not ignore what is going on. ISIS is continuing to torture people, the beheadings are getting more frequent and they have even burned a man alive. When the crusades started the Muslims had managed to get all the way to Spain. The crusaders were simply trying to push the Muslims back to their own land, they weren’t intending to be

The world in crISIS Graeme Wood, a contributing editor of The Atlantic, describes in detail the underlying ideological and religious thinking behind Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, also known as ISIS. He searches and discovers they are a formidable force, drawn together by a coherent faith and ideology. By talking to experts around the world, including many Islamic State supporters, Mr. Wood has produced a compelling article named “What ISIS Really Wants” in which mainly he exposes that unless the West understands the religious and cultural background of the IS, there is no way to defeat it. Through the enlightening process of reading his article there are at least ten main points I will share in this essay, which I find extremely important…

Since 9/11, the United States has created measures to protect the country from what was not prevented on that historical day. These measures consist of “mass arrests, secret and indefinite detentions, prolonged detention of ‘material witnesses,’ closed hearings and use of secret evidence, government eavesdropping on attorney-client conversations, FBI home and work visits, wiretapping, seizures of property, removals of aliens with technical visa violations, and mandatory special registration (215).” Most of these measures have targeted Arabs and Muslims living in the United States. Because of such measures, the public has labeled them as dangerous, which in turn as brought up several concerns about civil rights and safety. Although these provisions…

The terrorist group known as ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq) was able to come into being due to the weakness of the surrounding Middle eastern countries along with U.S. hesitancy has created a group with violent plans to bring the world to islam, with fear tactics such as the Paris attacks. They have grown as a threat “as sophisticated and well funded as any group that we have seen” (Coll) “Frankly [it’s] embarrassing for the world’s superpower” says Juan Zarate of CBS Security Analyst “to say that’s where we are three plus almost four years after this conflict has begun” (Kaplan). For a while now, we have been conducting airstrikes on ISIS and have created programs to train Syrian rebels, but all of our mediocre attempts to help the situation have been “strikingly ineffective.” Unless we can produce a force that could combat the ever growing force of ISIS, the Syrian world will continue to be just as destructive to the world as…

Also the United States should wage war with ISIS because they pose a threat to our nationś security. They have access to nuclear weapons, and they need to be stopped. Some people are arguing that ¨war isn 't always about creating something better. Sometimes it 's simply about ridding the world of terrorists who zealotry compels them to kill innocent¨. “ A genocide begins with the killing of one man - not for what he has done, but because of who he is” (Kofi Annan). Isis is determined to take control of the world, there main target being the western culture, including their civilization and religious beliefs. Depending on the extremity of the attacks and killings, they are either classified as a genocide if they are more extreme, or questioned if they are not as major. The more extreme attacks and killings, can be proved in many ways as an act of genocide, where other acts are still being questioned. Isis is thought by many as a threat of genocide as other’s think it is just an act of terror.…
