ISIS In Beowulf

they aren't just some crazy group there is an actual religious belief in the group that they are doing the right thing and are preparing for judgement day. at first people thought that ISIS wasnt as bad as it was but when they started to call out to all of the followers then people began to see the threat it posed, just like in beowulf at first people were skeptical of the dragon but then everyone was shown the true power of the beast so beowulf mounted up and left to face the beast, in our story though that would be the military. and not just the military of the united states, military from all over the world help fight ISIS but not everyone contributes as much as the others. in beowulf the group with beowulf run away in fear when the see the beast that they must face and fight but only one of his followers stay to help him slay the beast. in the real world not every nation choose to help, in a way they ran away and hope that by doing so that no harm will come to them. but there are several who stayed to help fight the proverbial beast. but unlike in beowulf we have yet to defeat this dangerous foe. but we continue to fight it tooth and nail each and every day in the hope that one day we will defeat the beast. in beowulf i believe that beowulf realizes that there will always be monsters to defeat but beowulf also realizes that number one you don't have to do it alone and also that what you do now will help the future people, beowulf became an amazing king and he protected his people for the longest time but eventually even he fell to the enemy. but as long as he had people to follow in his footsteps then he was
