In our country ISIS is a huge threat. People are scared, worried, stressed, etc. In our world, ISIS are terrible people who do hateful things to people. They like to make surprise attacks, inflict maximum casualties and spread many different types of fear before withdrawing, suffering, and heavy losses. ISIS has threatened the U.S. many times. While they are still described as a terrorist group, they are also known as a militia that is well trained in guerrilla warfare. They have proven themselves well with a great point of organizational skills from a military standpoint. They have recently been doing a lot of live burning, rapes and beheadings. These acts are all done to intimidate and paralyze the world into an inability to respond appropriately. Adding on to all of that, they know how to use social media very well. Obama had mentioned during his interview that he would like to combine with Russia and then go and attack ISIS but he had also told them that Russia needed to take aim at ISIS rather than Assad’s opponents. Russia and Iraq would continue to focus on propping up their clients, right after a Russian passenger had gotten shot out of the air jet over the Sinai, now their focus has shifted from other rebel groups in the west to ISIS in the east. They want a Russo- American alliance to wipe out the terrorist quasi state. (According to Hot Air) Obama has welcomed the new idea. The Russians can take care of the Syrian civil war first. (According to ABC News) Obama does have a strategy, and for more than a year the United States has taken many actions to dismantle ISIS. The steps they have planned are the best that can be attempted (weighing all the complicated costs and benefits) is subject to debate.
