The actions of the few, ISIS, have impacted the image of the whole Islamic community. The backlash of verbal abuse from certain Christians to the Islamic society has been horrendous. As Christians, we are supposed to love one another as ourselves. We should not judge based on faith or lack of faith. When the backlash is in the forefront of the news stations, there is clearly a lack of inner-faith understanding. Having a solid inner-faith understanding can address both of the questions I stated previously. There tends to be an enormous amount of opinions on how to obtain inner-faith understanding but the actions rarely seem to coexist with such statements. There are numerous examples in history where people of different faith traditions do not have any understanding of one another. Understanding other people is our job as a civilization to make sure history does not repeat itself. For example, the Holocaust. Jews were told to wear the Star of David on their clothing to signify they were Jewish. On recent news reports, an idea of giving the Syrian Refugees a patch to wear on their clothes to signify whom they are seems to be a little disturbing and a prime example of history repeating
