According to Eisenstadt (2014) “ISIS has a charismatic leader in Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and skilled and capable military field commanders—though its ability to effectively administer the areas it controls over the long term remains in question” (p. 4). These tactics are effective by the nature of how viral social media can be, but it also hurts the terrorist organization from an over exposer aspect. Some terrorist organizations use social media to show their extreme acts of violence and to share their beliefs and enticing recruitment propaganda. These tactics have been proven true over time because research done by Eisenstadt states that “the buzz created by these early symbolic victories, as well as the infusion of cash and arms funneled to the moderate opposition, will hopefully help recruiting and eventually win defections to these groups (p. 8).ISIS has ties in many countries because of this new recruitment style. It makes every country directly involved in the conflict with ISIS because “once the fighters help out, they then return home to then start resisting and plotting against the State in which they live in” (Eisenstadt, p.6). This diverse network that ISIS recruits from around the world strengthens their religious agenda, making them harder to stop. Byman and Shapiro (2014) agree that the Middle East is getting stronger and that the, “Obama administration estimates that as many as 12,000 to 15,000 foreign fighters have gone to Syria and Iraq as of September 23, 2014. The fighters come from at least 80 countries”. (p
