I would like to be an ISA to serve back to the Loomis community and help the new international students feel welcomed at home here at Loomis. I would like to make the transition for the international students from their homecountry to Loomis, their home in US, much smoother and easier. As a new internation sophomore, I was welcomed by my ISAs and they have helped in numerous ways.
2) What are your greatest strengths? How will you use those strengths as an ISA?
I am very hardworking and a friendly person. Additionally, I came to Loomis from a junior boarding school. Before Loomis, I have already experienced boarding life in the US for 4 years. Please specify the term you envision the event happening, and explain whether you would run it by yourself, with other ISA’s, or in conjunction with an existing student club. What resources would you need to implement the event? Why/how would this event be impactful for international students?
NOTE: some past events have included an informal dinner, a trip to a local traditional restaurant, and a weekend event in the SNUG.
If selected as an ISA, I would host an International Student Concert most likely in the SNUG or maybe even in Hubbard. This would most likely occur in the Spring term late in the year. This event would be a concert with performances, short music videos and films. It would be run by several ISAs and possibly in conjunction with the China Club or other international student clubs. Not much resources would be needed as it is purley performances and student-produced videos. This event would allow us, international students, to share our heritage to the entire school and spread our
