From the IP Role Map, I learnt that effective communication between different health care professions contributes to the high-quality care in which is given, not only from my own profession, but those who may also be involved. It is important to communicate effectively with other professionals involved in the team as it can ensure the status of the patient is understood by all involved in their care. For example, a midwife effectively communicating concerns of a vulnerable mother and child to social services. Effective communication can also ensure that a reasonable treatment plan is created and is person centred to the patient.
