Implementation of IOM Report on Future of Nursing On December 13, 2013, Institute of Medicine (IOM) conducted an evidence-based research, in collaboration of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), on the "Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health". This report made a major impact on the 'Future of Nursing' in the health industry. In this report, IOM identified nursing as the major health care profession which can be utilized for the cost effective, high quality health care medium in the United States.
