Nursing is a challenging, ever changing and advancing field. As medical discoveries are made nurses must learn the basics of not only the new medical discovery but also how to care for people that will be effected by the medical breakthrough. As such nurses must stay up to date on their education in order to stay compliant with not only their license renewal requirements but also know and understand new practices. If nurses fail to seek additional education after graduating from nursing school, there is an increased risk of not providing safe and efficient patient care.
