The purpose of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) personality inventory is to make the theory of psychological types described by C. G. Jung understandable and useful in people's lives. The essence of the theory is that much seemingly random variation in the behavior is actually quite orderly and consistent, being due to basic differences in the ways individuals prefer to use their perception and judgment. "Perception involves all the ways of becoming aware of things, people, happenings, or ideas. Judgment involves all the ways of coming to conclusions about what has been perceived. If people differ systematically in what they perceive and in how they reach conclusions, then it is only reasonable for them to differ correspondingly in…

Possessing this personality type, my own particular strengths are that I focus on the individuals within an organization and emphasize their well-being while my weaknesses relate to not being strong enough of a disciplinarian. The MBTI test results mention that INFP people often feel guilty that they are not doing enough for others. Reading verses within the Bible has taught me that it is not immoral to say “no” at times and to implement discipline. I have struggled to understand that acquiescing to others’ demands is not necessarily altruistic behavior in all cases. In some events, I am simply letting people take advantage of me.…

The similarities reside in the fact that the workplace is an environment where people from very different cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnicities and religious beliefs find themselves compartmentalized into an environment, directed towards a new way of life and then ordered to play nice…
