1. IHI Certificate Importance I was first introduced to the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) website while attending the course “Organizational Systems and Quality Leadership”. This course required the completion of IHI’s basic certificate as part of the curriculum. While working through the requirements for this course I learned how to be a part of a quality improvement project in the health care environment. This course taught me a great deal about the state of health care today and how to proceed with making changes needed for improvements. I gained the confidence needed to present myself as a professional nurse capable of taking what I learned from these courses and applying it to today’s issues and concerns.
