Decent Essays
Good Morning All,

Tomorrow we will be conducting the yearly ABSL-2 fume hood testing for ICRC & ARB. We will need on site parking for our vendor Genserve for the duration of the test. They require immediate access to all their equipment in the event something unexpected happens. We will start at ICRC in the morning and work our way over to ARB going into the afternoon.

More Canadians than ever seem to prefer flying out of U. S. airports to reach their destinations. This is largely due to the cost efficiency of catching a flight from a facility such as SeaTac Airport instead of a Canadian airport. If you are driving to SeaTac to catch a flight, you probably wish to find a parking facility with affordable rates, and you’ll certainly want to be sure that your car is left in a safe place. Like countless fellow Canadians, you may well appreciate the low prices, convenience, and other benefits of leaving your vehicle at an off-site SeaTac Airport parking lot, such as Aeroparking’s Park & Fly lot. Quick Access to SeaTac Airport One of the top benefits of long-term parking with Aeroparking is the quick trip…

Free parking? It sounds like an idea too good to be true, and that’s because quite possibly, it is. At least that’s what Donald Shoup argues in “Yes, Parking Reform is Possible”. A public policy which allows an extensive amount of parking in a crowded city at little to no cost, regardless of budgets or consequences, will have serious negative effects to a community. Shoup predicts that we can achieve major social, economic, and environmental advantages at virtually no expense merely by subsidizing people and places, rather than parking.…

Indoor exposure to air pollutants may occur in both private and public indoor environments, including homes, offices, schools, hospitals and transport systems. IAQ is affected by toxic gases (such as carbon monoxide [CO] and nitrogen oxides [NOx]), volatile organic compounds (VOCs, such as formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, styrene), pesticides, lead, flame retardants, respirable particles and dust, smoking (secondhand and third-hand), various biological pollutants (such as mold and bacteria), and physical contaminants (radiation, electromagnetic radiation, and asbestos). The main factors affecting IAQ are ventilation, indoor sources of pollutants, and the quality of ambient air entering the building. Poor IAQ has been associated with health effects such as asthma, chronic obstructive lung diseases, bronchitis (primarily in children), allergic reactions, and an increased risk of infectious disease. Low socio-economic status is also likely to contribute to the presence of factors that significantly affect…

Hi, Mike; Parking issues are not a Union issue, but when the rumor of discipline is involved it tends to become a concern. The Union hopes that the city would never discipline or terminate an employee for parking on a city street when no other option is available, especially when the city of Medford Police officers regularly do this and to my knowledge, none has received a parking ticket or been disciplined. The Union further understands that this is only a temporary issue until the new Police Station is finished and those vehicles will then park in the new garage and more spaces will be available not only to employees but the public as well and that will open up more spaces in the city hall lot.…

Molar Volume of a Gas Lab The purpose of the lab was to do an experiment to determine the molar volume of hydrogen gas at standard temperature and pressure, or STP. To start the experiment, a beaker was filled with water and then a cage was created with a copper wire. A piece of magnesium was cut and placed inside the cage in order to keep the reaction going until all of the magnesium reacted with the hydrochloric acid. The eudiometer tube was filled with 15 mL of hydrochloric acid and water and then plugged with a one-hole rubber stopper that held the cage in place, ensuring that the magnesium would react with the excess hydrochloric acid.…
