This capital project, however, affected the company’s financial catastrophically. It was 2005 when IATI Theater and two other companies bought the 64 E. 4th Street building. It was 8 years of capital fundraising and renovation. In July 2013, IATI Theater moved to its renovated home. Renovation of our building was supposed to be completed in July 2012. The delay was impossible to project and it was pushed on a monthly basis; this forced us to continue some of the projects we had at the time but without the venue we had projected. In addition, we got dramatic cuts from our funders. Therefore, we spent lots of money on renting out other performing and rehearsal spaces with very little income, causing a serious deficit in our bank accounts and credit cards. The new IATI rapidly became something different. Our mission and artistic vision are clearer and stronger because of the overcome challenges. We still have the urge to do performing arts and excel in our works; to bring, share and enjoy this work with other people in other communities. We count with talented and dedicated
