Saving lives is also a main reason for Mary setting out to earn her degree. “You have to have a strong stomach, and that’s something I’ve got”. This was one of the first things Mary said while talking about her degree and why it’s something she knows she’s the perfect fit for. When asking if Mary was willing to locate she eagerly said yes! Seven years is the goal Mary has set for herself when it comes to relocating. Not to mention being able to watch her succeed throughout her journey in the surgical nursing field, and see how our friendship grows, is definitely exciting. Ordinarily, this type of essay would make some students nervous, however, that was not the case, and it is with great appreciation that Mary was easy going and willing to let a fellow classmate and a virtual stranger interview her, and ask intimate questions. Moreover, it no longer feels that way, it feels like have we known one another for most of our lives. We students are fortunate to have the opportunity to step outside of our comfort zones and meet, along with learn about other classmates, such as
