Smoking pose so many health risk as it harms every organ in the body. (Brownlee and Roberts). “Cigarette smoking leads you to excessive spending and a shorten life span”. I have seen situations where beggars will ask for spare change only to go to the corner store to buy a carton of cigarette. I am left speechless as I would think that food would be the utmost priority in this case. Having a mother for a nurse has taught me many things when dealing with health issues of the human body. I have seen first hand where women who become pregnant can go into premature labour, as well as miscarriage. Watching these females who are in charge of the life of another human being choose unhealthy choices make me wonder if the laws of cigarette smoking is a slap on the wrist. Smokers feel they have a right to do what makes them happy or comfortable, despite what the public feels about how unsafe it is for the human body. (Dangers of Smoking). “You continue to inhale smoke further until it paralyzes the protective lining and crumples your lungs and then your immune system.” “Smoking eases my nerves when I’m having a bad day.” “Smoking pulls me away from the stress and worries of life.” these statements often grant solace for smokers, they believe that smoking temporarily relieves their stress.
