Stranded On A Deserted Island Research Paper

If I was stranded on a deserted island and a lifeboat came and I had to choose between a healthy three-year-old, an elderly Nobel Prize winner, a single father of two young children, a thirty-year-old decorated combat veteran, and a middle-aged doctor who has performed life-saving surgery to save, I would choose to save the single father with two kids. It would be a hard decision to make but having two kids I would want them to have a father. I would choose to save the father of two because he is a single father. What if his wife has died, then his kids would have no parents. Another reason is since he is grown, but not too old, he has a better survival rate than the others that are left. Since he is a grown adult, he is healthy, and may not complain as much as a three-ear-old. With him being a single father he wants to get home to his kids, so he will try and help get everyone back to land and safety. For him to get to safety the rest of us would have to get to safety so he could help get everyone else on the boat, including me, to land. Since he is a adult, he might get hungrier more often, or eat more in one meal, so saving food will be harder to do, compared to taking a younger or older person. Being a veteran there is the thankful side of me that would want to choose this person. As a thank you, I would want to save the life of someone who saves mine. Ultimately it comes down to the fact that the veteran doesn’t have kids to raise. With the knowledge, the vet has, the vet could possibly find a way to survive and have someone come to the rescue. That is why even though the veteran has done so many great things for our country and put his life out on the line, it comes down to the fact that the veteran has no kids to
