Grocery: What Makes A Difference In The Life Of A Young Girl

Superior Essays
When I was little I saw an angel. I can see her face in my mind 's eye as vividly as I saw her through my seven-year-old eyes. I was in a grocery store with my mother, and as parents often do, she asked me to run down another aisle to get something for her. To be exact, she wanted tortillas. When I came back, she was nowhere to be found. Scared and panicking, I started to cry. A man saw me in distress and came to my aide. He grabbed my hand and told me my mommy was loading up the car full of groceries. Comforted by this adult 's kindness, I stopped crying and started walking with him towards the exit. Then, I felt a warm hand on my shoulder and when I turned, I was stunned by the beauty I saw. Actually, it wasn 't so much that I saw this beauty, …show more content…
However, we can also be motivated by more earthly needs. We always have a choice to do the right or wrong thing, even though sometimes the difference isn’t clear. Also, sometimes what’s right for one will be wrong for another. Why was the man in the grocery store compelled to take a young girl? Was he perhaps not trying to take me? What motivated that woman to stop what was happening? And this is what I wonder the most: what was God’s reason for sending an angel to save me? The truth that I come up with for these questions will be different from someone else with a different belief system. The reasons for my own actions will be different than someone else making the same decision. Before we judge someone based on one action they take, or one phrase that drips off their tongue, we must realize there is a reason behind it. We must understand that most people do things with good intentions, even though there are some whose intentions are not so pure. We must try to understand the impetus behind these actions before we speak or act rashly. And above all, we must understand that even with a good heart, a strong set of values, and good intentions, even the best of us make

There are multiple reasons as to why we make certain decisions that have the power to determine our present, future, and those around us. The main one is not that of Religion or morals but simply; selfishness. In today's society, there is the belief that if we are selfless and put others before us, then we will be rewarded in the end. Does it still count as being selfless if we expect to benefit from doing a so-called "good deed"? No, it does not.…

Dr. A. K. Moravec – Rebuttal I have to say that was, well, interesting. This has to be a short rebuttal and so I will just pick up on one area of disagreement. There are major flaws in the argument that trans-humanism lacks an able morality; in fact I want to argue that we have a moral obligation to pursue trans-humanism. We have obligations as people, and John Harris points out 2 main obligations.…

Individuals often ask, “Why do people suffer?” Possible answer is blaming Satan or even in some cases God, for the cause of suffering; a better answer is holding humans responsible for the reason people have to suffer. Satan is blamed for everything evil, which is true to a certain extent; however, not a lot of individuals take their own actions into consideration. Humans tend to blame other individuals for their actions because it takes away their feeling of guilt. I will show that it is in fact humans who cause a lot of the suffering in the world.…

In the fall of 2013, I was hired as a bagboy at Benders Foods. For me this was a chance to make some money, and hopefully begin saving for college. Over the past two years, I have gained more experience from this job, than what I had ever thought to be imaginable. In just the short amount of time I have been working there, I am now trained to work as a bagboy, to work in the produce room, to work the cash register, and to work in the office occasionally. Being extremely versatile in this job is important to me, primarily because I want to pursue business later in my life, and knowing and understanding all of the aspects of a grocery store could be a beneficial key to my success.…

Every person should have morals about the way that they carry themselves on a daily basic. People can tell what type of person you are by the first impressions that we give out. Morality is one of the biggest issues when it comes to worldview. Being right or wrong is shaped by both worldview and Christian worldviews because our ethics is shaped by our impressions of others. Back in high school, it was very typical for me to be running late to school. I was also considered to be the “lead-foot” of the family when driving so needless to say, I would only ever be a few minutes late to school, if at all. During the spring of my junior year, I was having one of those typical mornings when something caught my eye alongside the road. I immediately began to slow down for what turned out to be nothing. As I was slowing down, a big black SUV came out of nowhere and pulled right out in front of me.…

Always Trust Your Gut Instinct One of my most passionate beliefs is, “trust your gut.” Let your intuition (or as some of us call it, “our sixth sense”) guide you. If the thought of doing something does not feel right, don’t do it. As I grew older, it became more and more clear to me that the internal feeling I had about something seemed to always be right. This was not something I learned from any person of religious aspect in life.…
