Personal Narrative: My Life In The USA

I do have a history, when i was little i remembered living with my dad. My parents were divorced and my mom lived in a different country. When i was old enough to start school. My mom came back, i was really happy to see her. I truly missed her. She hugged me and said she had something to talk about with daddy. Next thing i knew i was packing my bags leaving with my mom. It turns out they both thought it was best for me to live in the country that my mom was living in. it had better school,health care and i could make any wish come true if i work hard enough. I had to say goodbye to my dad. Years went by, since i saw my dad. But i talked to him almost everyday skype, facebook, and viber, helped. My life in the USA was struggle. It was a little different on how things function. The building where different, the design of the houses where different, even the food was different. School was exciting, the building was big, the teachers were nice. The school also had …show more content…
My dad took me to the referral hospital in the Tanzania for my volunteering. My mom agreed with it because she thought it is a good experience for me as a future pediatrician. Citizen come from all over the country to get themselves and their kids treated at Muhimbili hospital. I was assigned the children 's department. Though it 's a big government hospital it lacked enough doctors. My job was to pass out the food to the kids in the cancer department. The school lunches that i once thought were gross looked better. All they had was rice with beans; no fruits, the head nurse said they didn 't have enough to pass around. Since most of the patients came from remote areas they couldn 't afford to buy simple stuff such as fruits. When i looked around most of the parents could not afford to buy the kids basic needs such as dipper, milk and something to distract their kids from the pain. That bothered me
