Type 2 Diabetes Reflection

Have you ever had an event that you remember? I remember when I was in the 8th grade and I had found out that I had type 2 diabetes I was very scared, nervous and I was in tears when I had found out that had type 2 diabetes. This is how it all started I was constantly using the bathroom and I was constantly drinking a lot of water. Those were the 2 signs main things that diabetics have. My mom had also picked up on it and she was very concerned about me and what was going on with me. That’s when she told me she was going to make a doctor’s appointment to see what all was wrong and to see if I was a diabetic or not. That following week I had a doctor’s appointment coming up and that’s when I begin to feel very nervous and my heart started to beat very fast, I started to sweat really bad. When they called my name to come to the back,the first thing they did was took my height and weighed me then after that they did some blood and pricked my finger to see what was my blood sugar. That you can’t give up on yourself and that you have to push yourself to do better also achieve your goals, keep going without stopping. At first I did have times where I didn’t want to my blood sugars or take my medicine and I would have mood changes along with that. I knew everything that I ate had to be cover and I needed to take my medicine but I had that I don’t care attitude. I remember that I couldn’t have that attitude and that I needed to care about my health because if I didn’t I would end up in the hospital or worse in a early grave.
