Personally, I love being in and around the water. I could go for hours just staring at the ocean, wondering what it’s like to be in that mysterious blue world. After about thirteen years of staring at the sea I decided I would go and witness the world for myself. How would I do such a thing? At the age of 13 I started SCUBA Diving. After submerging myself into the blue mysterious world I fell in love with it. Being able to see all the fish and crabs in their natural habitat was just amazing. Staring at an aquarium was never enough, this time I was a part of one. Besides swimming and boating, I have always been fascinated with computers and technology. Being able to produce something that can do a specific task at the touch of a button is just crazy. Another thing that intrigues me about Computer Security and Information Assurance is the amount of problem solving that it involves. It seems as though there is never a day when a new problem arises. New problems mean new ways of solving problems. Every day a CSIA major learns something. Norwich University stated that Computer Security and Information Assurance is the “...kind of job that never gets stale, and [it] protects our country and private interests.” (Par 2). While picking a major I should also take job opportunities into consideration. What kind of job would I enjoy doing, while still meeting my salary standards? Having a job in the technology field would be pretty awesome. As a Computer Security and Information Assurance major I would be dealing with new problems all the time. Protecting against hackers and making sure information is safe would be fun. What minors would go well with Computer Security and Information Assurance? If I were to pick the Computer Security and Information Assurance Major would kind of classes should I expect to have? Are there any other benefits to being a Computer Security and Information Assurance major? In terms of location I feel that a vast majority of companies can use a Computer Security and Information Assurance major. In these days, cyber warfare is becoming a greater threat. With the ever expanding technological universe I feel that the Computer Security and Information Assurance major will become more in demand. Any company or business that uses the internet will need an IT Professional. As a Computer Security and Information Assurance major I feel I would be in the IT field for job
