I Want To Pursue My High School Career

Great Essays
After being in military school for my whole high school career, I decided I would like to continue the trend into college. I feel as though the structure provided by military schools is unmatched when compared to other schools. For college I believe that the military school environment would help me out the most. My next thing to figure out is what major do I wish to pursue? I really don’t know about majors and jobs that would be fun to have. The only thing I know is I would like a fun and profitable future, and the method to do that is through college, going for a degree that would best suit my future career choice. In order to start off with the major I should pick, I should first look at things I like and things I don’t like. Ever since …show more content…
Personally, I love being in and around the water. I could go for hours just staring at the ocean, wondering what it’s like to be in that mysterious blue world. After about thirteen years of staring at the sea I decided I would go and witness the world for myself. How would I do such a thing? At the age of 13 I started SCUBA Diving. After submerging myself into the blue mysterious world I fell in love with it. Being able to see all the fish and crabs in their natural habitat was just amazing. Staring at an aquarium was never enough, this time I was a part of one. Besides swimming and boating, I have always been fascinated with computers and technology. Being able to produce something that can do a specific task at the touch of a button is just crazy. Another thing that intrigues me about Computer Security and Information Assurance is the amount of problem solving that it involves. It seems as though there is never a day when a new problem arises. New problems mean new ways of solving problems. Every day a CSIA major learns something. Norwich University stated that Computer Security and Information Assurance is the “...kind of job that never gets stale, and [it] protects our country and private interests.” (Par 2). While picking a major I should also take job opportunities into consideration. What kind of job would I enjoy doing, while still meeting my salary standards? There’s a couple things to look …show more content…
Having a job in the technology field would be pretty awesome. As a Computer Security and Information Assurance major I would be dealing with new problems all the time. Protecting against hackers and making sure information is safe would be fun. What minors would go well with Computer Security and Information Assurance? If I were to pick the Computer Security and Information Assurance Major would kind of classes should I expect to have? Are there any other benefits to being a Computer Security and Information Assurance major? In terms of location I feel that a vast majority of companies can use a Computer Security and Information Assurance major. In these days, cyber warfare is becoming a greater threat. With the ever expanding technological universe I feel that the Computer Security and Information Assurance major will become more in demand. Any company or business that uses the internet will need an IT Professional. As a Computer Security and Information Assurance major I feel I would be in the IT field for job

During the summer of 2016 I attended a NSF funded cybersecurity camp where I was able to use different softwares to solve hypothetical problems. Cybersecurity is one of my favorite topics to study because of the many sub-fields within cybersecurity providing a vast range of knowledge. Malware is written in different programming languages, such as python and c++.…
