An ideal school should have the right educational system along with the right teachers, which help motivate students to learn and become successful. Kyko Mori states, “Being able to go back to school is a particularly American opportunity”. In this article, she mentions the differences between the American education system and the Japanese educational system. She describes from her perspective that the Japanese school that she went to was strict and never gave students a second chance on improving on their weaknesses. Instead they were told to try harder next time.…
When I moved to California two years ago, I found a great room for rent with awesome roommates. They were all college graduates and very articulate and knew so much whether it was to do with history, or knowing their way around the garden. Baca and Malcolm X both inspired while in prison to become articulate, because they wanted to be heard and feel free. Like Malcolm X being inspired by his fellow inmate named Bimbi, by the way he would attract people’s attention just by the way he spoke, and having so much knowledge to share, I was inspired by these beautiful young people who could make any topic they spoke about sound interesting. At this time in my life I decided I should apply for college and begin with a new outlook on education.…
Honors committee, As long as I can remember I have sought challenges in academics. Until only recently I didn't know why I pushed myself as hard as I have in school, but now I understand it is because I truly love learning. For me, discovering something new or unknown, teaching myself a new skill, or learning more about the world around me is one of the most gratifying things in my life. This is part of why I think I should be admitted into the honors program here at the University of Iowa. As a young child I was insatiably curious, asking my mother questions ad nausea, never satisfied with simple answers.…
Education Majors Teachers have the ability to educate, challenge, and expand the minds of children who will shape and refine the world’s future. They inspire students to become scientists who may discover a cure for cancer, doctors that will save lives, or athletes who will break records. Children depend on teachers to provide them with every opportunity to become great, which is why earning a teaching certificate should not be an easy process. Today, one has to pass the Praxis test, obtain a 3.0 GPA, and complete the assigned college courses to earn a teaching certificate. Due to these simple requirements, unqualified college graduates are becoming ineffective teachers that are failing to assist their students in the right direction.…
It has always been a dream of mine to work in a healthcare occupation, and I am honored to write on behalf of the Pre-Health Professions Scholarship. Through research of scholarships at “unigo,” I found that one scholarship from Next Step Test Preparation LLC in particular complements my personal attributes. My strong academic and individual successes, work experience and community involvement, and my future aspirations make me a viable candidate for the Pre-Health Professions Scholarship. I currently attend North Dakota State University where I am majoring in pre-pharmacy and have recently applied to their professional program. I am driven by keeping myself to high academic standards.…

Introduction: Take a second to consider what is more helpful to Canada and its citizens: Canada spending tax revenues paid by Canadian citizens on the first two years of post secondary education, or spending tens of billions of dollars on a war machine that is not even useful to us. That’s right, the Canadian government is planning on using up to $50 billion of tax money earned by the citizens on new war machines, even though there is currently no threat to Canada, the last being over two centuries ago. Does it not make more sense to provide Canadians education that could lead them to strengthening our economy? This is why I think the first two years of post secondary education should be free; the amount of debt/people with debt will be cut…
In this paper, I argue that neo-liberal policies effect post-secondary education in Canada. I determine what the barriers are and how we can overcome them. I will look at the rise of tuition, disability and cultural differences to see if they aid as a barrier. Post-Secondary education in Canada has become very demanding the last couple of years. Many students want to pursue careers and get an education that helps them in the future, from a neoliberalist approach young people have to “chase credentials” to gain security in future education (Lakes & Carter, 2011).…
Hello, sorry for the late reply! I’ll start off with a sample of my schooling career. However, I am now pursing a degree in Elementary Education.
