Sometimes when someone asks me a question that, if answered honestly, would hurt their feelings I lie to them. Just to make them feel better. I want to stop doing this, sometimes the truth hurts at first, but after a while people come to respect you for being so honest. Being brutally honest is not right though, if someone doesn’t ask you if they look fat in their dress, then don’t tell them that they look a bit pudgy today. I will try to teach my children these facts so they learn to love people for who they are and not who they want to seem like. When people look at my gravestone I want them to see: Sidney Maurer, loving mother, wife, and friend. I want them to whisper my name and say: Sidney Maurer, wow, what a great person. I want people to see me for who I am inside, not for my face, or my hair, but for who I truly am. I don’t want people to remember my bad side, I want as many people as I meet to remember me for my good days. The days that I can’t stop smiling. The days that I look in the mirror and say: I helped someone today, I feel
