I Want To Know Me Research Paper

I live in a world where a girl like me could live in a big city and manage a big corporation, but I don’t want any of that. Some people want to become president, but I was never interested in that kind of thing. I don’t want to go to space or make the world’s biggest taco. All I want to do is make the people I love happy. I just want to live a nice, quiet life in a nice, quiet town surrounded by nice, quiet people. I want to help people get through hard times. And this is how I want people to remember me. I want people to know my name, not by the people I have surpassed, but by the people I helped surpass me. I don’t want fame and fortune, I don’t want to become the next top model, I just want to be plain old Sidney Maurer, the girl that helped people through slumps that they went through. Sidney Maurer the girl that understands everyone’s problems. I want people to thank me after I die …show more content…
Sometimes when someone asks me a question that, if answered honestly, would hurt their feelings I lie to them. Just to make them feel better. I want to stop doing this, sometimes the truth hurts at first, but after a while people come to respect you for being so honest. Being brutally honest is not right though, if someone doesn’t ask you if they look fat in their dress, then don’t tell them that they look a bit pudgy today. I will try to teach my children these facts so they learn to love people for who they are and not who they want to seem like. When people look at my gravestone I want them to see: Sidney Maurer, loving mother, wife, and friend. I want them to whisper my name and say: Sidney Maurer, wow, what a great person. I want people to see me for who I am inside, not for my face, or my hair, but for who I truly am. I don’t want people to remember my bad side, I want as many people as I meet to remember me for my good days. The days that I can’t stop smiling. The days that I look in the mirror and say: I helped someone today, I feel
