She was an African-American women who lived in Washington D.C. with her husband and two kids. Johnson wrote many poems about love and was very well known even though she was African-American. “I Want To Die While You Love Me” is a poem written by Georgia Douglas Johnson that conveys the ideas of love and loving someone so much one wants to die.
