Ever since I graduated from high school and continued on to college, I have placed most of my focus into my studies, but I have also put effort into participating in extracurricular activities as well. From the beginning of first year in college I have pursued a career in medical, first looking to become a doctor, but later changing my direction to nurse practitioner. Why the jump? Well, since joining the MRC and other organizations I’ve learned that I like certain aspects of nursing such as the patient interaction, which is rarity when you’re a doctor, however I also liked some aspects of becoming a doctor such as the ability to diagnose, give treatment, and depending on where you practice, be under your own supervision.
