I Want To Become A Nurse Admission Essay

I was very interested in the Basic Nursing Program when I first heard about this opportunity. I would like to express in this letter how important nursing is to me and show how much of a passion I have developed through the experiences I have encountered. Right now I am a student at southeast Missouri State University. I am going into my second year of college. I am in the verge of picking a nursing program that will make me an outstanding RN. Nursing has always been a big part of my life. My mother was an LPN and always took me to work with her. I got to see firsthand her passion and what it takes to be a nurse. I basically grew up in a nursing home and got to interact with the elderly almost on a daily base. This showed me that being a nurse you have to be smart and compassionate. This class you are given an hour to go to a business that is associated with your career. By given that opportunity I grew as a person and got to see why becoming a nurse was so meaningful. I want to be able to help people. Helping people gives me a feeling that I cannot describe and I know I’m doing something right. Nurses help in all kind of ways like being companion, helping save life’s, and giving people hope. These are just a few ways nurses help people. You also have to be smart and be able to come up with solutions when the time comes. Nursing is not a career that you get to let your guard down. You have to be patience and be able to communicate.
