I would like to be a RN (Registered Nurse). Frist becoming an RN is getting the proper training. I choose this job not only cause I like it but because I have a few family members that been in it for some years now. It is also a popular job, it’s also in very high demand. I also choose this job because my grandma was a resident in a nursing center & I would love to see how things really work there. I here multiple stories on how some residents get treated badly. From my experience when my grandma passed away they didn’t call no one & let us know nothing. I was very upset about it because I love that woman to the fullest she was like a second mom to me. Simply because CNA’s get paid less than $30,700 a year & RN’s best-paid get paid $94,820 a year, and LPN get paid $61,000. Which is also easier being an RN or LPN. Cause there’s not much work like being a CNA. Being a CNA I would have to work a lot harder by wiping behinds, checking on people a lot, feeding people, for the most part taking care of them. Being a RN my nursing aids will be my eyes & ears. So that when something go on they will take care of it by letting me know or coming to me immediately. Being a LPN is not as hard although it does provide nursing care to the patient, such as assessment, medication administration, and patient care procedures such as those who requires sterile technique. Even though it may take more time getting my RN than getting my LPN. Being a RN provides more opportunities for promotion. Even though being an RN comes with a lot of hard work I really think I can pursue it because it’s something I really want to become a part of in my career.
