Being a leader has many different meanings. In the US Army, being a team leader or NCO means that I am not only responsible for myself but for my peers and subordinates as well. It also means that I am a part of helping to up hold the goals of my company and continue to help build great future leaders. As I plan on building my career in the Army I am obligated to dedicate my time in ensuring the safety, and growth of my Soldiers. By doing this I will always lead each Soldier as an individual and fairly. I will try to always help them get stronger in their strengths, and help them push themselves to get better in their weaknesses. As part of my creed, all Soldiers are entitled to outstanding, and I intend to make sure that each of my Soldiers …show more content…
The creed says we are the backbone of the Army. I see that as being the back bone of my team, and I will strive to always keep that as my important goal. I will continue to strive to make sure that not only are my Soldiers squared away but that I am squared away myself. Showing up on time, having my gear, and knowing the correct information shows my professionalism. Having myself squared away ahead of time allows me extra time to ensure that my Soldiers are good. When my Soldiers are fully squared away at a layout, I feel good that they have the proper gear. This means that they can now positively be a asset to the mission and the team. I will continue to work on my time management so that my Soldiers will never have to complete their tasks as well as mine. When my Soldiers call or text me about information they need, I am confident that they are receiving what they are expecting from me as a leader, and that’s reliable information or advice. As part of my dedication to the creed I will always communicate with my Soldiers and never leave them with incorrect information or leave them
