As soon as I hit submit on my University of Florida Application, I felt a mixture of relief, excitement, and stress. Since coming out of the womb, I have been a gator for life by growing up around intense football games, on-campus volleyball camps, and fascinating research discoveries. Nevertheless, I did tour at several different universities during the summer with anxious parents and bored friends but only felt completely at home at UF. Listening to friends’ amazing experiences there, accompanied with an exceptional education, confirmed my desire to attend my top-priority school. I will learn the basics of genetics, physiology, and pathology to partake in important research programs, in hopes that I positively impact the world.
