I was that child you would find reading mystery books and watching police documentaries or shows that would eventually lead to me having a passion for wanting to help prevent criminal activity within our country. Now that I know what process I need to take to complete my career goals, I have mapped out my plan and feel as if there is nothing stopping me. However, the most important part of my plan is my college education, without it there is a gap between me reaching my goal. Also, pursuing a double major can become very expensive, especially when the cost of tuition and books go up every year; therefore, I need as much help as possible. Unfortunately, my family cannot afford to help pay for my college education due to only living on my father’s income each year. This is because my mother is actually disabled after tearing her rotary cup in two places; nonetheless, what money they have left goes to my father’s medical bills since he has a very bad back. So, in order to pay for my education, I try my best to pick up more hours at my part-time job to help balance the cost with my financial aid. However, since I am now transferring to Western Kentucky University to finish my B.A. in both degrees, my cost of educational expenses have risen and I am paying a lot more out of pocket compared to Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, so scholarship would be a big help in order for me to reach my
