I Want To Attend UNCW

Improved Essays
Why I want to attend UNCW I took the guided campus tour in August of this year. My First impression, the tour guides were excellent and their enthusiasm for the school was infectious. UNCW has a beautiful campus, well laid out and easy to traverse. The size of the UNCW is just right too, not overwhelming in size but large enough to have a diverse student body. Physical activity is how I relax, I know, an oxymoron, but it works for me and I was floored by the recreation facilities, anything I could want, weight lifting, swimming, basketball, etc. the facilities are state of the art. At the moment, I’m fence sitting about my major, but I’m leaning toward Marine biology or Environmental Science with a minor in forensics.

TCU is great fit for me because it is a smaller university. I like how TCU has less than 9,000 undergraduates and has a 13 to 1 student to faculty ratio. This means students will get more individual attention. The city of Fort Worth seems to be a great college town and TCU has great school spirit, which both work well together to offer a great college experience. TCU is a great fit for me because it has an encouraging learning environment that will allow me to excel in my studies and grow as a…

My dad is in charge of safety and security at the Tallahassee International Airport, as well as prior military, so I have been exposed to security, military and law enforcement career fields throughout my life. This exposure has sparked an interest in forensics and has led me to research different careers in the field of criminal forensics. Due to my love of forensics, and my belief that justice should be served, I plan to become a crime scene investigator.…

When I visited George Washington my sophomore year of high school, I instantly knew that your school is where I wanted to go for college. It just wasn't like any of the other colleges that I had seen before, and for that matter it was unlike any I have seen since. I saw that GW is in a beautiful location and that its presence in the capitol greatly enhances both its value and the city’s around it. I really liked walking around the campus, as it was extremely vibrant. I saw that safety is also important, and the combination of security that holds jurisdiction in this area is extremely reassuring.…

If you asked me a year and a half ago what I wanted my vocation to be, I would have promptly blurted out: “Forensic pathologist.” If you ask me now, I will respond with: “I don’t know, it may change, but I’ve got an idea.” While my interests remain within the world of science, it’s still an entire world nonetheless. I have opened myself up to exploring new career paths within this world because of one factor during the end of my sophomore year of high school—exploring the unknown. I did not know what to expect when I joined a neuroscience research facility at Case Western Reserve University.…

UNBSJ has a large and beautiful campus with many interesting buildings, statues, pieces of art and nature; such as trees and lots of grass throughout the campus. It is a relatively easy campus to make your way around without getting lost as there are signs with directions wherever you look. During the winter months you can avoid the cold weather by using the tunnels that are connected to all the buildings on campus. When you enter the UNBSJ campus via the driveway the main parking lot is on your right hand side, it stretches all the way to the back on the campus; this is where the majority of the students and staff park on a daily basis. The parking lot stretches around the back side of the largest building on the campus, the athletic center.…
