However, another reason is because of the diversity the campus boasts about. I can attend other colleges with less variety of ethnicities and lose my identity that the other side of my brain wants or continue to be exposed to the multiculturalism that I practically lived with and use those experiences to fight back against blatant stereotypes. It does not matter what orientation, background or gender a person is. Humans are bounded by gender and cultural constructions in order to maintain order and hierarchy of the world. However, in the process it is erasing voices from the subordinates and amplifying the voices of the dominants. In my case, I need Social Justice because of my education and career path.
