Henell. The last writing assignment in my mythology class was to take one the many stories we had studied and explain in detail which one was the most significant to you and why. In the beginning I thought the assignment was going to be easy; I loved mythology, but a soon as I started to think, I became lost is the numerous stories we had learned about. The myth I went with was the Hindu story of how the universe was always being destroyed and recreated. The story was the only one which had stuck out to me throughout the entire semester. It was the one which was most believable for me. While writing this paper, I was having a difficult time coming up with what to write about. After explaining my frustrations to Mr. Henell, he told me the only thing that mattered was why I found it so interesting. He told me it didn’t have to explain the significance to the class or to our lives, but to my life. Armed with his words, I wrote one my most passionate papers to this day. The story was something in which I truly cared about and my enthusiasm for the details and the connections to myself made the paper
