My favorite part of Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish’s presentation from a few days was his explanation for the title of his book I Shall Not Hate. He essentially said that using hatred blind ourselves from resolving the conflict between Israel and Palestine. This is absolutely true and very applicable to many situations, we should not make ourselves blind with hatred, instead we should focus on the challenges that we need to accomplish. This can apply to getting a bad mark on a paper you worked really hard on, and the Israeli Palestinian conflict, because certain individuals have to face responsibilities. The responsibility for a student is to find the flaws in their work to prepare for future papers, and the responsibility of a citizen is to make a
